Prioritize
- Vacuum pump in a sensible CFM class for the systems you install — with micron verification
- Standalone or manifold-integrated micron gauge (pair with pump page when live)
- Nitrogen regulator / purge kit class (accessory — follow manufacturer guidance)
- Flaring, swaging, bending, and torque tools that match the copper work you do
- Recovery machine available when reclaim is required — sized for install-day logistics
Failure modes to watch
- Trusting “done enough” without a micron reading you can defend
- Underpowered pumps on long line sets; oil condition ignored
- Hose and adapter mismatches that slow jobs and introduce leaks
- Skipping documented A2L tool / hose requirements on transition equipment
